Hinerangi homestead is a large scale 1920 bungalow designed by Louis Hay of Napier art deco fame. It has many interesting features particularly the use of stained glass in the doors and windows, which was used widely in the Arts and Crafts Architectural movement. The house has a full sized Billiard table, large entertaining rooms with a baby grand piano. Wide covered porches and piazzas which surround the house give an even greater feeling of spaciousness . There is a swimming pool and tennis court in the garden and an outdoor living area off the kitchen. We have 2 bedrooms for guests. One queen sized bed and 2 single beds. You are welcome to join us for dinner as we are 20k away from Waipukurau, the nearest town. |
Your hosts are Caroline and Dan von Dadelszen. There are wineries, beaches, golf courses and trout fishing streams within an easy drive and hot air ballooning is based nearby. |

"The Cookhouse" is a renovated 100 year old cottage and offers accommodation for up to 7 people in a genuine farm setting. The cottage has all amenities including a dishwasher, washing machine and fully equipped kitchen. A continental breakfast will be provided and guests are welcome to take the short walk to the homestead to use the swimming pool or tennis court. This is the perfect holiday retreat for either couples or those wanting to bring the family for a farm experience. Dinner by arrangement. Tariff: $110 double and $40 per extra person.
